Frequently Asked Questions

WHY SHOULD I DONATE?
A large portion of the Yemeni population is dependent on outside aid. Children, in particular, suffer greatly from the consequences of the ongoing war and die from hunger and disease. With your donations and those of others, we can provide for many of these children who lack food and medicine.
Many children in war-torn regions of Yemen lack the bare necessities for survival. Therefore, we have committed to using donations exclusively to purchase food and medicine to safeguard the lives and health of these children.

Your donation has a huge impact. The equivalent of approximately €50 provides a Yemeni family with food for a month. The donations are used to purchase the goods they need. Our local helpers, who are based in Yemen, maintain direct contact with those in need, allowing them to provide very precise assistance.

We at Children of Yemen in Need all work on a voluntary basis and ensure that donations go where they are needed: in Yemen.

Yes, every donation is tax-deductible. Children of Yemen in Need is officially a non-profit organization. You will receive a receipt for every donation. We will send you a donation receipt for donations of €200 or more.

Donations of goods and services are currently not possible, as these cannot be safely transported to Yemen due to the crisis. As soon as the situation changes, we also plan to enable donations of medication from vetted organizations.
